Identify the constraint before choosing the solution

The description introduces scaling, new markets, collaboration and long-term planning. Begin with the work your business struggles to deliver consistently. Is the problem capacity, a missing skill, unclear processes or demand that comes and goes? Those problems may need different solutions. Hiring can provide ongoing capacity, while outsourcing may suit defined specialist work. A collaboration needs clear responsibilities and a useful purpose for each business involved. Consider the time required to manage the arrangement as well as the cost. Growth should be assessed against the service you can deliver reliably. Use the recording to develop questions, then compare options with your own workload and objectives before making a commitment.

Three actions to try

  • Describe the specific limit on your current business capacity.
  • Compare the resources needed for different solutions.
  • Choose a small step that lets you learn before expanding further.
