Advance bookings require a commitment for a future time, rather than merely showing drivers who are available now. The operator needs capacity planning and a way to confirm which requests it has accepted.
Fixed prices depend on agreed inputs and rules, such as route, vehicle type and included waiting arrangements. Customers should see the confirmed amount or understand why a request still needs quotation. Changes after confirmation should trigger review instead of silently keeping an unsuitable original price.
Start with a defined set of journeys and test booking amendments, delayed pickups and cancellations. Separate the customer's requested time from the operator's confirmed arrangement. A reliable future-booking workflow matters more than displaying an estimated vehicle location days before the journey.
