Could an app turn family photographs and recordings into an interactive family archive?

A family archive could connect photographs, recordings and documents to people, places and stories. The first design challenge is helping users organise material without inventing missing relationships or treating uncertain memories as confirmed facts.

Families need permissions for private collections and selective sharing. Contributors should be able to identify a source, correct a caption and mark uncertainty. Export options matter so important memories do not become trapped in one account or service.

Prototype a small collection across several contributors. Test conflicting dates and a person withdrawing permission to share an image. The app should preserve original material and distinguish recorded history from any generated summary, with appropriate rights and consent for the content being included.
