Some AI app builders can create databases and connect to other services. That capability is useful, but it does not answer every question about your company’s records and processes. Start by checking what information must move, who may access it and what should happen when an integration fails.

Check the structure of your records
A customer, job and invoice are separate records that may need to be linked. List the relationships your process depends on, along with required fields and validation. Generated tables should be checked against those business rules, not accepted just because a screen can save a record.
Test access with different user roles
Creating a login is only part of controlling access. Test whether a staff member, administrator and customer can view or change only the information intended for them. Base44’s documentation includes record and field permissions; those still need to be configured appropriately for the app.
Define what the integration actually does
Name the connected system and the information being exchanged. Does data move in one direction or both? Which system is the main record? Check whether the external service provides the required connection and whether the app platform supports it on your chosen plan.
Plan for failed or repeated actions
Ask what happens if a service is unavailable or an update is sent twice. A successful demonstration does not establish how the workflow handles those situations. Digital Solutions can review the requirements and discuss whether the existing approach can meet them or needs additional development.
Questions and answers
Can AI platforms provide databases?
Some do. Check the specific platform rather than making a general assumption.
Does having a login protect every customer record?
Not by itself. You must configure and test the relevant data-access rules.
Can every existing system be connected?
It depends on the available interfaces, access permissions, platform capabilities and agreed work.
What should I bring to an integration review?
Bring the system names, example fields and the steps you want to connect, using anonymised examples.
