A multi-seller marketplace could give customers a shared shopping journey while each business manages its own catalogue. The important design decision is how orders, payments and fulfilment are divided behind that shared checkout.
Sellers need access to their own products and orders without seeing competitors' private information. A basket containing several sellers may create separate deliveries, cancellation rules and support responsibilities. Commission and settlement records should follow the agreed commercial arrangement.
Begin with a small seller group and a clear product category. Test one seller rejecting an item after another has accepted theirs. Customers should see which business supplies each purchase. A single storefront is useful only when the responsibilities within it remain understandable to buyers, sellers and support staff.
