A chauffeur app could connect an airport booking to flight-status information and agreed pickup instructions. Any external flight feed needs to be assessed for coverage, reliability and permitted use before it becomes part of the service.
The operator should define how a delay affects driver allocation and waiting arrangements. Automated updates can flag a change, but significant alterations may need staff confirmation. Passengers should be able to contact the service when their actual arrival differs from the feed.
Test a diverted flight, a changed flight number and missing status data. Display the last update rather than presenting uncertain information as current fact. A useful system gives the operator time to respond and keeps the confirmed pickup plan understandable for the passenger.
