How would a taxi app allocate bookings to available drivers?

Dispatch software needs a definition of suitability before it can choose a driver. Distance may matter, but vehicle type, passenger requirements, shift status and existing commitments can also affect whether an offer makes sense.

The operator must decide whether jobs are offered sequentially, to a group or assigned by staff. Acceptance timeouts and rejected offers need clear handling. A driver's reported location may be stale, so the system should not assume every map marker represents immediate availability.

Test dispatch rules against sample bookings, including an accessible vehicle request and several simultaneous jobs. Keep an operator override and an explanation of assignment history. Allocation should support the company's service rules while making unanswered or unfulfilled bookings visible for human attention.
