A blank social media calendar is easier to fill when you start with real customer questions. This Cofi teaching video is titled “Stop Guessing What to Post Find Content Ideas for FREE”. Watch it alongside a simple exercise: list the questions people ask before buying from you.
This Cofi teaching session is presented by Rob Steadman, who runs the free Cofi Business Network.

Start with usefulness, then choose a format
A product seller might explain how to choose a gift; a service business might explain what happens at a first appointment. Those subjects give someone a reason to read beyond the headline. Collect questions from enquiries and look at the language people use when searching. Choose topics connected to services or products you actually provide. A broad popular subject is less helpful if it attracts people who will never need your business. Turn one question into a clear answer, then decide whether a short post, a video or a longer article explains it best. Keep the promise in the title and make the next step easy to understand.
Three actions to try
- Write down five genuine customer questions.
- Choose one you can answer clearly.
- Publish a useful answer and invite another question.
Questions and answers
Do content ideas need to come from paid tools?
No. Customer conversations and free research resources can provide starting points. The quality of the answer matters more than producing a large list of topics.
